Mar 2, 2024 ~ Victor Davis Hanson, 'American Paralysis and Decline' Another insightful article by VDH. "We can bear neither our diseases nor their remedies." We are unwilling to fix our worst problems because we don't have the stomach for what needs to be done. The flood of illegal immigration, the unsustainable national debt, rampant shoplifting and other crimes, the homeless, corrupt prosecutors who destroy political opponents on fake charges. Everyone knows we can't ignore these problems and survive but no one is willing to address them for fear of being called a 'racist' or other criticism. Jul 16, 2024 ~ 'Debt Up $7 Trillion Under Biden' My God, $7 Trillion in less than 4 years and the fool has the gall to brag about his handling of the deficit. He's run up more debt than any other President! This is way unsustainable. Democrats will bankrupt us! [Biden, Debt, Deficit]
Jul 29, 2024 ~ 'Yellen: By the Way, We're Going to Need Another $3 Trillion per Year for Climate Change' These people cannot bankrupt the United States fast enough. We're running trillion dollar deficits and these fools want triple our insolvency. Complete maniacs. She absurdly tries to sell this massively unaffordable waste of money as a "big economic opportunity." "Of course, it really is a massive economic opportunity if you happen to own or have stock in one of the many 'green energy' companies that have been cropping up. It's also a wonderful opportunity for China and any other nations that are sitting on the largest stockpiles of rare-earth metals needed to build all of the batteries required to drive all of this nonsense. But for everyone else, it's a massive, pointless money sink." [Anti-Science, Climate Change, Debt, Deficit, Economics, Regulations]
Oct 13, 2024 ~ 'I Can't Even Begin to Pretend I Understand What's Going on in Chicago' The corruption is off the charts even by Chicago standards. Mayor Brandon Johnson wanted to take out a $300M high interest loan for schools that even the Chicago school board thought was reckless and unaffordable. So Johnson got rid of the entire board and replaced them with his cronies. He can't bankrupt the city fast enough. [Debt, Deficit, Education, Loathsome Left]
Oct 26, 2024 ~ 'Government Schools Are a Jobs Program for Unions' More details come out on why Chicago schools are so horrible even though they are bankrupting the city. Chicago took $2.8 Billion in Covid money and hired 8,000 people, most not even teachers. Which is insane because the money was a one time allocation. Now when they can't afford what then did, Johnson wants to take out a $300 million high interest loan to keep the insanity going. The board rejects because its crazy so he gets rid of the whole board and replaces them with yes-men. Meanwhile, students in Chicago can't read, write or do math but they spend orders of magnitude more money than almost any school districts. “It is a level of dysfunction that feels beyond destabilizing." Nov 16, 2024 ~ 'How Elon Musk’s DOGE Will Work' Trump appoints Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy to lead the new Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE)" DOGE will attempt to cut the 428 government agencies to under 100 cutting trillions from the budget. Balanced budget? [Debt, Deficit, DOGE, Entitlements, Regulations]
Feb 26, 2025 ~ 'It's Your Own Damn Fault, Liberals' If we addressed the national debt decades ago (like when Ross Perot warned us), the remedies could have been much easier.   "For decades, federal spending has been skyrocketing so fast that the debt accumulated has become totally unsustainable. As in Great Depression is coming unsustainable. Congress has been unwilling to cut anything. Annual deficits have been exceeding $2 trillion a year with no end in their acceleration. Even the most modest cut is fought against so viciously that the problem is never addressed."   "The debt ($32.5T) is cancer. It was diagnosed at stage 1 but no treatment was given. Stage 2 came, still no treatment. Stage 3? Who wants to endure chemo? So here we are at stage 4 and people are screaming about the radical surgery and chemo because it hurts so much and makes us feel ill."   "The United States will not survive without radical surgery and nasty chemo. It is that simple. The patient isn't going to feel good during the treatment. It will suck, but blaming the doctor and delaying the treatment leaves you one step closer to death."   "Liberals built a system that guaranteed maximum pain if it ever were reformed. Every single sob story--and some will be real--is on the left. The only alternative to DOGE right now is waiting for fiscal death. Every sob story you hear right now will be duplicated a thousand or hundred thousand times because what can't go on forever never does." [Debt, Deficit, DOGE, Politics]
Feb 28, 2025 ~ 'Trump Signs Executive Order Giving DOGE More Power' Musk, "The overall goal here with the DOGE team is to address the enormous deficit. We simply cannot sustain as a country two-trillion-dollar deficits. Just the interest on the debt now exceeds the Defense Department spending." "The order requires 'Each Agency Head, in consultation with the agency’s DOGE Team Lead, [to] conduct a comprehensive review of each agency’s contracting policies, procedures, and personnel.'" [Debt, Deficit, DOGE]
Mar 23, 2025 ~ "Maher: Biden Was ‘Just Funneling‘ Green Money to Groups that Didn‘t Deserve It" While discussing the federal Department of Education, Maher said that while the department likely does some good things, “it also looks like some of these places are just funneling money to people who are not solving the problem.”   "I saw that story about the 20 billion that went out the door after Biden lost, the EPA — it wasn’t the EPA or was it the EPA — but there was 20 billion dollars that they shoveled to groups because Trump was coming and they were going to reverse all this stuff. And it supposedly [went to] environmental groups. And they were not really environmental groups and they had no experience in doing it. Like I said before, I care about the plastics. Do I think this money was going to get rid of the plastics in my brain? I do not." [Biden, Debt, Deficit, DOGE, Education]
Apr 6, 2025 ~ 'What the DOGErs Keep Finding at Social Security Explains the Progressive Spasms' Its not just that they found 2 million non-citizens given SS numbers last year, they are being paid benefits at MAX level. "1.3 million of them already on Medicaid."   Musk: "People think that Biden was asleep at the switch. They weren't asleep at the switch. It was a massive large scale program to import as many illegals as possible, ultimately to change the entire voting map of the United States and disenfranchise the American people and making it a deep blue one party state from which there would be no escape." [Biden, Debt, Deficit, DOGE, Illegal Immigration, Loathsome Left]
Jun 1, 2025 ~ Elon Says He Was ‘Disappointed’ By ‘One Big, Beautiful Bill’   “I was like — disappointed to see the massive spending bill, frankly, which increases the budget deficit, not just decrease it. And it undermines the work that the DOGE team is doing,” Musk said. "I think a bill can be big or it can be beautiful, but I don’t know if it can be both." [Debt, Deficit, DOGE, Economy, Politics]
Jul 27, 2025 ~ 'The End of Immortality in Washington'   "Over the last several decades, you could count on your fingers (and maybe a few toes) the number of government programs that have been canceled -- no matter how obsolete, inefficient or wasteful they were, and despite the fact that, in some rare cases, their missions were accomplished. Even Ronald Reagan, who called for the cancelation of scores of programs, couldn't get Congress to end the eternal life-support system. After watching Congress fund even the most inefficient agencies, he famously groused that 'the closest thing to immortality on this earth is a government program.'"   "Last week the seemingly impossible happened. Congress terminated at least a half-dozen major programs, many of which fiscal hawks have been trying to terminate for nearly half a century."   "But Trump is ushering in a much-needed cultural shift in the way Washington operates. He is proving that Washington really CAN get rid of programs that don't work." [Debt, Deficit, DOGE, Politics, Trump Win]
Jul 27, 2025 ~ 'Democrats’ all-electric USPS fleet sees each truck come with a $6.8 million price tag' "Another Joe Biden boondoggle numbering in the billions." "A Biden administration plan to create a ‘green’ fleet of postal vehicles has churned out a mere 250 electric mail trucks in just over two years... The nearly $10 billion project — which called for more than 45,000 battery-powered US Postal Service (USPS) vehicles to be completed by September 2028 — was funded in part by $3 billion in funding from former President Joe Biden’s 2022 Inflation Reduction Act." [Biden, Climate Change, Debt, Deficit, DOGE]
Aug 4, 2025 ~ "It’s time to kill the left’s big lie about Trump ‘gutting Medicaid’" "Democrats’ attack on the Medicaid part of the One Big Beautiful Bill (“OBBB”). It will, they say, cut spending so drastically that tens of millions will lose insurance and tens of thousands will die annually. The only problem is that this is a Big Lie. The editorial board at Issues & Insights has actually looked at the numbers behind the hysteria and learned something interesting: All that the OBBB really does is return Medicaid spending to the precise trajectory it was on before Biden went on a spending binge. If people weren’t dying by the tens of thousands before Biden, they’re not going to be dying in such numbers now. Likewise, tens of millions will remain insured if they were insured before."   "The only problem is that none of these claims are true. Using data from the CBO and the Kaiser Family Foundation, Issues & Insights reports, 'They are all based on one big, fat lie. There are no cuts to Medicaid.' (Emphasis in original.) They even produced a nice, clear chart showing what’s going on. It turns out that, going back at least as far as 2010, Medicaid spending was on a very steady upward trajectory. Unaffordable, yes, but still steady. However, in 2021, Biden 'massively expanded the program.' Not only did he spend more in the moment, 'but Biden set Medicaid on a permanently higher spending track.' What the OBBB does is return Medicaid spending to its original configuration before the Biden anomaly." See this graph. [Debt, Deficit, DOGE, Fake News, Health Care]
Oct 19, 2025 ~ 'Democrats Have Been Trying To Cover Up One The Biggest Healthcare Scams Ever'   The government is still shut down in part because Democrats demand that health care to illegals be funded by taxpayer dollars despite the fact that we are running trillion dollar deficits. Democrats claim its a lie but Walsh brings reciepts.   "Go to the websites of states like New York, Massachusetts, California, Colorado, North Carolina, and Oregon, and you’ll often find explicit statements that Medicaid coverage is provided for illegals, including for primary care."   They also try to play the shell game where they say yes, blue states are funding health care for illegals but under the state program like Medi-Cal. This claim instantly falls apart when you notice that these programs are funded in large part by Medicare. [Debt, Deficit, Health Care, Illegal Immigration, Politics]
Nov 7, 2025 ~ 'The Welfare State Will Destroy America'   The government shutdown has shockingly revealed that 42 million Americans are on food stamps! Our welfare programs have grown so much they have gone far beyond the 'safety net' idea. There are legions of able bodied people collecting and we are going bankrupt fast.   Two quotes that predicted this hundreds of years ago: Scottish historian Sir Alexander Fraser Tytler: "A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the voters discover that they can vote themselves largesse from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates promising the most benefits from the public treasury with the result that a democracy always collapses over loose fiscal policy, always followed by a dictatorship."   Alexis de Tocqueville: "Any measure that establishes legal charity on a permanent basis and gives it an administrative form thereby creates an idle and lazy class, living at the expense of the industrial and working class." [Debt, Deficit, Politics]
Nov 10, 2025 ~ 'Another win: Trump, not Democrats, won the government shutdown'   Democrats dragged out a pointless 40 day government shutdown to try to blackmail Republicans into getting they things they could not achieve through the normal process. It was never going to work and a few sane democrats finally realized that and voted with the Republicans to re-open the government. The rest of the Democrats were furious with those Democrats for re-opening the government even though they tried to convince the American people that they were the ones who wanted to end the shutdown. As usual, Democrats could not look more ridiculous. As usual, they lose to President Trump. [Debt, Deficit, Politics, Trump Win]
Dec 14, 2025 ~ 'The unaffordable Affordable Care Act'   "The Affordable Care Act—Obamacare—was passed without a single Republican vote, and since, Democrats have been doing their worst to try to convince the public Republicans are to blame for it. That’s because it was never affordable and has required untold billions to prop it up."   "Americans have eventually tumbled to Obamacare’s reality: the insurance is outlandishly expensive, costs far too much for miserly benefits, and is breaking the taxpayer bank. Now, in a revelation that surprises no one, it’s rife with fraud too." The CBO estimates there is $27 billion in annual Obamacare fraud. [Debt, Deficit, Entitlements, Health Care]
Dec 14, 2025 ~ "Minnesota: ‘Nearly Every‘ Somali Household with Children Is on Welfare"   This Somali welfare scandal keeps getting worse and worse. "The data shows that 81 percent of Minnesota households headed by Somali refugees are on one or more forms of welfare, including 27 percent who are on cash welfare, 54 percent who are on food stamps, and 73 percent who are on Medicaid. Compare this massive welfare use to native-born Americans residing in Minnesota, only 21 percent of whom are on one or more forms of welfare, including just 6 percent who are on cash welfare, 7 percent who are on food stamps, and 18 percent who are on Medicaid."   "89 percent of Somali-headed households with children in Minnesota are on one or more forms of welfare, as 86 percent are on Medicaid. About 62 percent of Somali households with children in the state are on food stamps, while 23 percent take cash welfare."   “Nearly every Somali household with children … receives some form of welfare.” "Only about 3-in-10 native Minnesotan households with children take one or more forms of welfare, including only 6 percent on cash welfare, 10 percent on food stamps, and 28 percent on Medicaid."   "Somali refugees in Minnesota also tend to be vastly less educated than their Minnesotan counterparts. While only 5 percent of native-born Americans in Minnesota do not have a high school diploma, almost 40 percent of Somali refugees say the same, including more than 28 percent who have lived in Minnesota for more than 10 years."   What the hell are we doing to ourselves? It makes no sense to bring this group of people into America. [Debt, Deficit, Entitlements, Immigration, Western Civilization]
Dec 14, 2025 ~ 'Whistleblower: Massive Welfare Fraud by Somali Migrants in Ohio'   In our last episode, we found out nearly 90% of Somali immigrants in Minnesota are on welfare in addition to the billion dollar fraud scandal they are involved in and now we see that repeated in Ohio.   "Ohio attorney Mehek Cooke says that the same sort of theft of public funding seen in Minnesota has been occurring in the Buckeye State for more than a decade."   "The Somali scammers in Ohio are exploiting a loophole in the state’s Medicaid program that has doled out as much as $91,000 a year per individual, money that is supposed to be paying to care for elderly or infirm family members in the home. She says that Ohio’s system is the "easiest in the Midwest to game.'" [Crime, Debt, Deficit, Entitlements, Immigration]
