They also try to play the shell game where they say yes, blue states are funding health care for illegals but under the state program like Medi-Cal. This claim instantly falls apart when you notice that these programs are funded in large part by Medicare.

Democrats dragged out a pointless 40 day government shutdown to try to blackmail Republicans into getting they things they could not achieve through the normal process. It was never going to work and a few sane democrats finally realized that and voted with the Republicans to re-open the government. The rest of the Democrats were furious with those Democrats for re-opening the government even though they tried to convince the American people that they were the ones who wanted to end the shutdown. As usual, Democrats could not look more ridiculous. As usual, they lose to President Trump.

The report says fraudsters targeted vulnerable people leaving rehab and billed Medicaid for services never delivered (drawing even out-of-state actors)."
"The EIDBI benefit provides services for Medicaid-eligible children and young adults (21 and under) with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and related conditions, requiring a comprehensive multidisciplinary evaluation to establish medical need. Between 2019 and 2024, the program expanded rapidly: Providers allegedly grew from 41 to 328 (about a 700% increase), while enrollment rose from 791 recipients costing $20.4 million in 2019 to 5,705 recipients, costing more than $342 million."

Meanwhile, just 28 percent of households headed by native-born Americans are on welfare, and just 31 percent are on welfare that includes both tax credits. Countries with the highest welfare-users in the U.S. include Afghanistan, 87 percent, the Dominican Republic, 78 percent, Guatemala, 77 percent, Honduras, 75 percent, and Mexico, 67 percent. Meanwhile, immigrant households from Korea, the United Kingdom, Canada, and India have the lowest welfare usage among the nation’s immigrant population."

What fools Democrats have been in NY and other Blue states. They wildly over promise far more than they can afford, hoping to tax "the rich" to death to pay for it but the rich predictably leave because they're expected to be slaves. Combine these problems with ridiculous climate policies that Democrats agreed to even though it was obvious they could never work or be afforded and the Blue states are in deep deep trouble.

All of this feels like the tip of the iceberg. Shirley and team are facing increasing violence and resistance from Democrats and other left wingers. He is constantly having to increase his security budget. Why would they be so opposed to exposing fraud?

"The changes to the work requirements were the most expansive to SNAP in decades, a USDA spokesperson told the WSJ. While illegal immigrants were never eligible for SNAP benefits, certain legal immigrants have now been restricted from accessing the benefits, the outlet reported."
