Jan 25, 2025 ~ 'Trump’s Epic Anti-DEI Executive Order' "With one carefully crafted act, the president initiated the end of DEI in the federal government and perhaps in the private sector and educational system, as well. It is a breathtakingly bold and wholly righteous move that could bring about a generational change. One way or the other, books will be written about the executive order, 'Ending Illegal Discrimination and Restoring Merit-Based Opportunity.'" Jan 26, 2025 ~ 'Black feminist math equals lowered IQs' "When Black female students are repeatedly disciplined for being social, loud, or goofy in the mathematics classroom, they experience mathematical violence." "Whiteness is toxic in society and in education." "women’s sense of belonging in math is hindered by values such as ‘objective’ and ‘rational thought.’" You couldn't make these quotes up if were trying to satirize wokism. Feb 8, 2025 ~ 'Here's What Happens When You Question DEI Initiatives' Parents who opposed the DIE program called "Multilevel classes" where students of all levels were thrown together instead of having the honors or advanced track were branded 'racists' and 'right wingers' even though they were Democrats. They have been totally vindicated now that 'multilevel classes' are a proven failure. [Cancel Culture, CRT DIE Wokeness, Education, Loathsome Left]
Feb 15, 2025 ~ 'Mr. President, May I Drive the Bulldozer?' Former director at the Department of Education says "The agency should be bulldozed. It is a gigantic cesspool of apparatchiks who are sucking up money that should go to the students." "There is nothing to be saved at the U.S. Department of Education. Send the money directly to the states without allowing D.C. to capture the money and redirect it to social engineering projects, special interests, and union-protected employees who do not contribute to the actual education of students." [Education, Politics, Regulations]
Mar 16, 2025 ~ 'Department of Education to Slash Half its Workforce' "More than 1,300 federal employees received an email letting them know they are apart of the Department of Education’s 'reduction in force' (RIF) process... The cuts come after 259 workers signed up for a deferred resignation program and 313 accepted a voluntary separation incentive payment." [DOGE, Education, Trump Win]
Mar 23, 2025 ~ 'Is the Jig Up for Elite Higher Education?' "i Itheir hubris, the universities began a series of blunders that may now end them as they once were. They began gouging government agencies such as the National Institutes of Health and the National Science Foundation by grabbing anywhere from 30 to 60 percent of individual campus grants as 'overhead.'" DOGE and Trump found out about this massive fleecing of taxpayer dollars.
"Congress will soon pass legislation that will tax the annual multimillion-dollar income from multibillion-dollar endowments at somewhere between 15 and 20%. There will be no more "overhead" or "surcharges" on government campus grants allowed larger than 15%." [DOGE, Education, Trump Win]
Mar 23, 2025 ~ "Maher: Biden Was ‘Just Funneling‘ Green Money to Groups that Didn‘t Deserve It" While discussing the federal Department of Education, Maher said that while the department likely does some good things, “it also looks like some of these places are just funneling money to people who are not solving the problem.”
"I saw that story about the 20 billion that went out the door after Biden lost, the EPA — it wasn’t the EPA or was it the EPA — but there was 20 billion dollars that they shoveled to groups because Trump was coming and they were going to reverse all this stuff. And it supposedly [went to] environmental groups. And they were not really environmental groups and they had no experience in doing it. Like I said before, I care about the plastics. Do I think this money was going to get rid of the plastics in my brain? I do not." [Biden, Debt, Deficit, DOGE, Education]
Mar 23, 2025 ~ 'Columbia University Caves to Trump's Ultimatum to Curb Campus Antisemitism or Risk Federal Funding' Trump is getting enemy after enemy to cave after cutting their funding. "Columbia University has agreed to President Donald Trump’s demand that the school address rampant campus antisemitism or risk permanently losing $400 million in federal funding." Turns out Democrats want their money more than they want to destroy women's sports or hate Jews. And they want to do both of those things a lot! Daily Wire Update: "Columbia University’s interim president, Katrina Armstrong, has resigned as the university struggles under pressure from the Trump administration stripping its federal funding." Mar 23, 2025 ~ 'All The Reasons Why Abolishing The DOE Is A Great Move By Trump' Trump signed an EO to abolish the department but Congress will have to take the final step. "While the Department of Education has grown enormously over the years, the quality of Americans’ education in this country has plummeted. The vast majority of our students aren’t capable of demonstrating proficiency in either reading or math... By every single available metric, the DOE has overseen the collapse of education in this country." "As devastating as these school closures were — they permanently disrupted the educational and psychological development of millions of school children — they’re just one of many, many data points that illustrate the failures of the Department of Education." [Education, Trump Win]
Mar 30, 2025 ~ 'Non-Binary Latin at Oxford' Wokeness was allegedly dying but in some locations, its accelerating. Oxford is attempting to change Latin (a gendered language like many others today) into a gender-neutral language for the benefit of 'non-binary' students. Latin words like 'magistri' (masters) and 'doctore' (doctors) use the masculine form to include both genders when plural like romance laguages today. These words will be changed or eliminated, often by just referring to the students as 'you.' Entire languages are expected to be changed for the benefit of people who delusionally believe they are neither male nor female and the woke institutions of lower learning are still going along with it. May 24, 2025 ~ 'School Choice' John Stossel makes the case for School Choice.
"A recent study found that 'more education freedom is significantly associated with increased NAEP scores.'"
"Florida's math and reading scores were once among the worst in the nation. After they expanded school choice, says DeAngelis, 'They ranked #1 ... And it's not a money issue. They spend about 27% less than the national average, and they're knocking it out of the park.'"
"A study on Florida's expansion of school choice found 'benefits include higher standardized test scores and lower absenteeism and suspension rates. Effects are particularly pronounced for lower-income students.'"
"When there is a choice, public schools improve as well. Twenty-nine studies examined the impact of school choice on test scores, with 26 finding a positive effect." [Education, John Stossel]
Jul 14, 2025 ~ 'A Tale of Two States: How Florida Wins Where New York Bleeds'
"In the now current fiscal year, New York passed a $237 billion state budget, while Florida passed a budget less than half the size at $116.5 billion -- even though Florida now has millions more residents than New York."
"Florida, which now spends $9,130 per student, consistently scores above the national average on 4th and 8th grade reading and math. New York, which spends $29,893 per student, ranks around 46th in 8th grade reading and below average in most other categories."
"Even more striking: New York’s per-student spending rose by about 50% between 2012 and 2022, reaching nearly twice the national average, while its NAEP scores have barely moved. Florida’s scores, meanwhile, have steadily climbed. In fact, from 2003 to 2022, Florida improved its average composite score more than any large state in the country." [Education, Entitlements]
Jul 14, 2025 ~ 'Trump’s Education Dept. Ends Free Tuition for Illegal Immigrants'
"The department said it is rescinding standards from the Clinton administration allowing illegal immigrants to access federal funds for those education programs, in violation of the Personal Responsibility and Work Opportunity Reconciliation Act (PRWORA). The Education Department’s new interpretive rule also makes clear that illegal immigrants do not have access to Pell Grants and student loans." [Education, Illegal Immigration, Trump Win]
Jul 14, 2025 ~ "Marc Andreessen: ‘No Chance‘ for Smart Americans to Get into Elite Universities"
"If you’re a family … where I grew up [Wisconsin], and you’ve got a smart kid, and you think you’re going to get them into a top university in this country … there is no chance. It is nearly impossible for somebody coming from, like, a Midwestern or rural background or southern background to get in,” because of migration and group favoritism in “Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion” priorities, he said, adding: "By the way, this doesn’t just affect white people. Obviously, we now see how it’s affecting Jewish people. But it actually also affects African Americans in a very interesting way, which is actually because both the universities and the corporate employers … literally import Africans so that they don’t have to hire African-Americans." Aug 3, 2025 ~ 'Poor Black Children Face a Dismal Future'
"For those hoping to improve education outcomes for black children in America, that hope is probably misplaced. Leftists assiduously abuse data either to make it appear that the kids are doing fine or that it’s impossible for them to do well in an inherently racist system. However, if you dig through the misinformation, you discover that the kids are doing badly and that the racism that makes education impossible comes from the leftists."
"Graduation rates for black students are improving, but that ignores the fact that they’re graduating functional illiterates. Why drop out when you can make it all the way through high school without working or learning anything? It makes it look like the policies are working, though, so the gravy train can keep rolling along."
"The left also claims that disparities in disciplinary actions are evidence of systemic racism. This ignores the fact that black students are many times more likely to be involved in bad behavior than white students. The Sentencing Project states that black youth are nearly 6 times as likely to be incarcerated as their white peers. The left just can’t accept this reality."
"The statistics related to educational outcomes for students of all races are more than disappointing. For blacks, they are horrific. Incredibly, it looks like the longer blacks stay in school, the less educated they get! According to the National Assessment of Educational Progress’ (NAEP) 2022 reading assessment, 19% (Grade 4), 15% (Grade 8), and 6% (Grade 12) of black students were at or above the proficiency standard. Math scores follow a similar pattern. Both scores are far below those of their white peers."
"The most common excuse given for the educational gaps is “systemic racism.” Why am I not surprised? The left trots out this vague, overused claim as the excuse for everything. Year after year, the same problems, and the studies on blacks always conclude systemic racism is at the root of whatever gap they find." [CRT DIE Wokeness, Education, Fake Racism, Race]
