Jan 10, 2026 ~ 'The Minneapolis Shooting: The Facts'
Renee Nicole Good and her wife were part of a group called "ICE Watch" that tracks and disrupts ICE from doing their job. They are trained to block vehicles and interfere with agents. Good was blocking a road with her car to prevent ICE vehicles from passing. An agent got out and ordered her to get out of her car. Another ICE agent, Jonathan Ross, approached her car from the front.
When the first agent ordered her out of her car, her wife, Rebecca Good, who had just been taunting the agents, yelled "DRIVE, BABY, DRIVE!" The car shot forward into Ross with wheels spinning indicating Renee Good floored the gas. Ross' bodycam shows that Good was looking directly at him, so hitting him was no accident. Some initially tried to claim she didn't see him in front of her.
The car struck Ross. A very good angle posted by @Timcast showed that Ross' feet slid back on the ice as the car hit him. This means that the ice (no pun intended) literally saved the ICE agent's life or at the very least, prevented serious injury. Were it not for the ice allowing him to slide when hit, he would have been under the car. As the car was barreling at him, Ross pulled out his gun and shot Good, killing her in lawful self defense.
Democrats, the left and the #FakeNews launched into their usual lies about ICE being like Nazi's, killing people "for protesting." Good didn't deserve to be shot they claimed. For a day or so, they denied that she hit Ross with the car until various video angles made it impossible to deny. They claimed she was turning the wheels away from him which may be true at some point in the split second encounter, but Ross could not see the wheels. He only saw the car coming at him and felt it hitting him.
This was an avoidable tragedy. The right did not celebrate her death. The right simply correctly observed that this was a tragedy of her and her wife's own making. She blocked traffic, disrupted a federal law enforcement operation, disobeyed lawful orders, attempted to flee an arrest and assaulted an officer with a deadly weapon (4000+ pound car). All of those are crimes - the last of which got her shot. Ross' wife Rebecca correctly said, "This is my fault," after the shooting.
Some further context. Ross had been previously seriously injured trying to apprehend illegal immigrant Roberto Carlos Munoz. Ross attempted to use less than lethal force (a taser). But his arm got caught in the car and Munoz dragged over 100 yards. His arm needed 33 stitches. Other ICE officers have been killed by vehicles. There have been 66 vehicle attacks on ICE agents in the past year. Ross knew all this when he drew, but Democrats do not or do not care.
UPDATE: CBS News Reports, "The ICE agent who fatally shot Renee Good on Jan. 7 in Minneapolis, Jonathan Ross, suffered internal bleeding to the torso following the incident, according to two U.S. officials briefed on his medical condition." Many Democrats and some members of the #FakeNews are still trying to claim he was never hit. Here is why they’re lying. They can’t admit he was hit because if they admit he was hit then they would have to admit that the car was driving at him. And if that’s true, he had a reason to shoot her. Their whole narrative depends on the lie that she was driving away from him.

Brown Jr. "has an extensive criminal record. Specifically, he has at least 14 prior arrests, for crimes like armed robbery, assault on a female, felony larceny, breaking and entering, and shoplifting."
This story is notable for many reasons. One is that blue cities are unsafe because of Democrat party policies of cashless bail and little or no prison time for violent crimes. Democrats essentially don't enforce laws and are content to let violent repeat criminals victimize innocent citizens. Another thing this story (and many others reveal) is that Democrats and the #FakeNews make huge national stories out of the rare incidents where the victim is black and the killer (often a cop doing his job) is white even though in most of those cases, the suspect's own actions led to his demise like Michael Brown and many other #BLM hyped stories. Conversely, Democrats and the #FakeNews will totally ignore any stories where the killer is black and the victim is white even though in most of those cases, the victim actually is innocent and those cases are far more numerous than if the races are reversed. Except for FoxNews and The New York Post, this story was not covered by any of the main stream (#FakeNews) media outlets even though the motive was clearly racial. This story is notable for many reasons. One is that blue cities are unsafe because of Democrat party policies of cashless bail and little or no prison time for violent crimes. Democrats essentially don't enforce laws and are content to let violent repeat criminals victimize innocent citizens. Another thing this story (and many others reveal) is that Democrats and the #FakeNews make huge national stories out of the rare incidents where the victim is black and the killer (often a cop doing his job) is white even though in most of those cases, the suspect's own actions led to his demise like Michael Brown and many other #BLM hyped stories. Conversely, Democrats and the #FakeNews will totally ignore any stories where the killer is black and the victim is white even though in most of those cases, the victim actually is innocent and those cases are far more numerous than if the races are reversed. Except for FoxNews and The New York Post, this story was not covered by any of the main stream (#FakeNews) media outlets even though the motive was clearly racial. Minneapolis Police Chief Brian O’Hara stated that "The overwhelming majority of the time, people that are committing crimes with guns do not purchase them legally, they are not lawfully in possession of them.” And “the overwhelming majority of violence that we do see in the community that is committed using guns is committed by people who are not lawfully possessing or lawfully purchasing firearms here in the state.”
This is one of many problems with the Democrat's assumptions that shootings can be stopped by passing more gun laws. Killers don't follow the laws that are already on the books (including laws against murder) so passing laws banning certain kinds of guns will only hurt law abiding gun owners who use guns for self defense.

CA ranks high in crime but still behind 8 red states. Republicans have a true answer that it makes no sense to compare at state levels. All the very low crime counties bring down the average and a big state like CA has lots of those compared to smaller states. An accurate picture can be seen by looking at the county level. And when you do that, it becomes very apparent that all of the highest crime counties are blue counties regardless of whether they are in red or blue states. And similarly, almost all of the very low crime counties are red counties.
Morefield points out an underlying truth that the crime rate in any given county is directly proportional to the percentage of black people in the county (again regardless of if the county is in a red or blue 'state'). Republicans are reluctant to point out for fear of falsely being called 'racists' and that is inevitable. False accusations of racism are still heavily used to shut down the exposing of uncomfortable truths. But it is sometimes necessary to tell the truth or the complete wrong conclusions will be drawn from spin like Newsom's.

The Rochester City Attorney’s Office is charging "Shiloh Hendrix with three counts of Disorderly Conduct under Minnesota Statute 609.72, subd. 1(3), a misdemeanor level charge with a maximum of 90 days in jail and/or a $1,000 fine."

Of course the clip goes viral as proof of Trump's 'fascism' or whatever. Well it turns out that he had been arrested for child sex crimes while being here illegally. "Perez-Teofani was arrested and charged in January 2024 with indecent liberties with a child under the age of 15 and aggravated sexual battery."

He didn't even mention that CA has legalized shoplifting. They barely enforce laws of any kind, letting criminals out immediately. Why would any business try to operate in such a place?

Democrats have stepped in the next trap Trump set for them. Trump is sick of the crime in DC and is sending federal help with the situation. Democrats reflexively line up to explain how DC doesn't really have a crime problem and they are abetted as usual by the #FakeNews. This is just the next reason for them to call Trump a 'fascist.' But the truth cannot be swept under the rug forever.
D.C. had 187 homicides in 2024, or about 27 for every 100,000 residents. For reference, Boston, had 3.7 homicides per 100,000 residents during that same time frame, New York City (4.7) or Los Angeles (7.1). Car jackings are also very high relative to other big cities.
Also, stats purporting to show that DC crime is improving have been due to "deliberately falsifying crime data" specifically to make DCs stats look better.
Joe Scarborough read a text from a liberal friend who is secretly happy about what Trump is doing even though officially they have to appear to oppose everything he does. "He says, ‘This may sound controversial, but I’m not totally opposed to Trump’s National Guard move in D.C. I know he’s doing it for politics, but crime remains rampant. I’ve had too many friends carjacked, shot at. None of us will walk more than three blocks after 8 p.m. 13 year-olds are committing many of these crimes. Quite a change from a decade ago, when things were much calmer.'”
UPDATE: Trump's policy gets great results: D.C.'s Fox 5 News reported: "Since the Guard's arrival, the city has experienced a notable decline in criminal activity. For the first time in a long time, D.C. has gone seven days without a homicide. Carjackings have decreased by 83%, robberies by 46%, car thefts by 21%, and overall violent crime is down 22%. 'When you have these numbers going down it means this is a success and people feel safer,'"

A mob of 50 or so young black people beat an older white couple nearly to death. Once they were down and unconscious the beatings continued. "The video of the attack is hard to watch. Boys and girls gleefully assault a couple walking down the street, stomping on them while filming the incident."
Victor Davis Hanson describes: "Numerous male and female black youths sucker-punched a middle-aged woman and a man. Others continued to kick or body slam the victims, who were sprawled on their backs and seemingly unconscious. The surrounding assembled group of black youths not only failed to intervene to restrain the bullies. They also recorded the beatings for social media and were heard [laughing and] cheering on the one-sided violence." "Once people hit the ground or were
sucker punched, people from the crowd came in, stomped on them, bodies slammed them, and it was almost like a free-for-all that people smelled blood and they wanted to go in for the kill. It was very disturbing. And the other thing that was disturbing about it was they sucker punched a woman, knocked her unconscious, and then people continued to pelt her. More importantly, there were black females that joined in this ruckus like it was a celebration. They were stomping people on the ground."
Another disturbing aspect of this event is how much of a non-story it was. The #FakeNews who amplifies every fake story from Hands Up Don't Shoot, to Jussie Smollett, to Duke Lacrosse to Tawana Brawley to NASCAR nooses and many other fake narratives when they appear to show a white person unjustly attacked a black person. That same #FakeNews ignores real incidences like this one which would be huge stories if the races were reversed. VDH: "Had a gang of white toughs beat middle-aged African-Americans senseless, recorded it, and cheered on the violence, there would have been immediate national outrage."

"Biden admitted to the New York Times that he did not individually approve each pardon; rather, we are to believe that he developed broad categorical parameters with top advisers and then relied on staff to fill in the names that seemed to fit these bills." Total chaos. 371 arrests, 6 stabbed, 14 seriously injured, 1,500+ minor injuries, 51 vehicles torched. Despite numerous arrests, no descriptions of the suspects are released. Which always means they are non-white, likely recent immigrants.
