Charles Cooke responds: "I love Peggy Noonan. I love her writing. I love the speeches she wrote for Ronald Reagan and others. I met her once — she won’t remember! — and she was lovely in person, too. But I’m going to have to disagree with her on this one. “Something bad” has already happened. Lots of something bads, in fact. In the last decade alone, we have had the Brett Kavanaugh witch hunt, Russiagate, Covid, the insanity of the summer of George Floyd, and the coverup of President Biden’s senility, and in each of those cases, the media — including the Washington Post — have disgraced themselves."

Another 'cooking the books' scandal but this time surprisingly it was finally admitted to. "A miracle just happened. KNMI, the national weather and climate institute in The Netherlands, admitted publicly that we, a group of four skeptical scientists, were right in our critique of their homogenization. This admission means the end of a ‘battle’ that has been dragging on for about seven years."
"However the hottest days of the year (In The Netherlands this means Tmax of around 30oC) in the period 1901-1950 were corrected downwards by up to 1.9oC. Because of this, 16 out of those 23 heatwaves vanished from the official records."
This erasure of history allowed "KNMI [to start] claiming in the media that heatwaves nowadays are much more frequent than in the past." Marcel Cook and his team did a deep dive into the data to see if these conclusions were warranted but they were not.
They published their peer reviewed results in "Theoretical and Applied Climatology" but were dismissed with 'ad hominem' insults for quite some time before KNMI finally admitted they were right. "So, more than seven years after starting to look into this matter, we were completely vindicated, both by KNMI itself and by the media." "Seven heatwaves are back in the records (some are still gone though). Before the homogenization the summer of 1947 had an absolute record with four heatwaves. After the first homogenization three of those four had vanished. After the 2.0 homogenization all four are back."

But Stephen Miller, like a man named Bendetsen, he was the one who created the internment camps for Japanese, Heinrich Himmler in the Nazi regime, this is what he is.”

Jan 10, 2026 ~ 'The Minneapolis Shooting: The Facts'
Renee Nicole Good and her wife were part of a group called "ICE Watch" that tracks and disrupts ICE from doing their job. They are trained to block vehicles and interfere with agents. Good was blocking a road with her car to prevent ICE vehicles from passing. An agent got out and ordered her to get out of her car. Another ICE agent, Jonathan Ross, approached her car from the front.
When the first agent ordered her out of her car, her wife, Rebecca Good, who had just been taunting the agents, yelled "DRIVE, BABY, DRIVE!" The car shot forward into Ross with wheels spinning indicating Renee Good floored the gas. Ross' bodycam shows that Good was looking directly at him, so hitting him was no accident. Some initially tried to claim she didn't see him in front of her.
The car struck Ross. A very good angle posted by @Timcast showed that Ross' feet slid back on the ice as the car hit him. This means that the ice (no pun intended) literally saved the ICE agent's life or at the very least, prevented serious injury. Were it not for the ice allowing him to slide when hit, he would have been under the car. As the car was barreling at him, Ross pulled out his gun and shot Good, killing her in lawful self defense.
Democrats, the left and the #FakeNews launched into their usual lies about ICE being like Nazi's, killing people "for protesting." Good didn't deserve to be shot they claimed. For a day or so, they denied that she hit Ross with the car until various video angles made it impossible to deny. They claimed she was turning the wheels away from him which may be true at some point in the split second encounter, but Ross could not see the wheels. He only saw the car coming at him and felt it hitting him.
This was an avoidable tragedy. The right did not celebrate her death. The right simply correctly observed that this was a tragedy of her and her wife's own making. She blocked traffic, disrupted a federal law enforcement operation, disobeyed lawful orders, attempted to flee an arrest and assaulted an officer with a deadly weapon (4000+ pound car). All of those are crimes - the last of which got her shot. Ross' wife Rebecca correctly said, "This is my fault," after the shooting.
Some further context. Ross had been previously seriously injured trying to apprehend illegal immigrant Roberto Carlos Munoz. Ross attempted to use less than lethal force (a taser). But his arm got caught in the car and Munoz dragged over 100 yards. His arm needed 33 stitches. Other ICE officers have been killed by vehicles. There have been 66 vehicle attacks on ICE agents in the past year. Ross knew all this when he drew, but Democrats do not or do not care.
UPDATE: CBS News Reports, "The ICE agent who fatally shot Renee Good on Jan. 7 in Minneapolis, Jonathan Ross, suffered internal bleeding to the torso following the incident, according to two U.S. officials briefed on his medical condition." Many Democrats and some members of the #FakeNews are still trying to claim he was never hit. Here is why they’re lying. They can’t admit he was hit because if they admit he was hit then they would have to admit that the car was driving at him. And if that’s true, he had a reason to shoot her. Their whole narrative depends on the lie that she was driving away from him.

This post from Tahmineh Dehbozorgi explains why: The Western liberal media is ignoring the Iranian uprising because explaining it would force an admission it is desperate to avoid: the Iranian people are rebelling against Islam itself, and that fact shatters the moral framework through which these institutions understand the world. Ideally, to cover an uprising is not just to show crowds and slogans. It requires answering a basic question: why are people risking death? In Iran, the answer is simple and unavoidable. The people are rising up because the Islamic Republic of Iran has spent decades suffocating every aspect of life—speech, work, family, art, women, and economic survival—under a clerical system that treats liberty as a crime. There is no way to tell that story without confronting the nature of the regime. Western media refuses to do so because it has fundamentally misunderstood Islam. Or worse, it has chosen not to understand it. Islam, in Western progressive discourse, has been racialized. It is treated not as a belief system or a political ideology, but as a stand-in for race or ethnicity. Criticizing Islam is framed as an attack on “brown people,” Arabs, or “the Middle East,” as if Islam were a skin color rather than a doctrine. This confusion is rooted in historical illiteracy. Decades of price controls, subsidies, nationalization, and bureaucratic micromanagement have obliterated the middle class and entrenched corruption as the only functional system. The result is not equality or justice. It is poverty, stagnation, and dependence on government’s dark void of empty promises. Covering Iran honestly would require acknowledging that these policies are harmful. They have been tried. They have failed. Catastrophically. This is deeply inconvenient for Western media institutions that routinely promote expansive state control, centralized economic planning, and technocratic governance as morally enlightened alternatives to liberal capitalism. Iran demonstrates where such systems lead when insulated from accountability and enforced by ideology. It shows that when the state controls livelihoods, non-conformity becomes existentially dangerous. That lesson cannot be acknowledged without undermining the moral authority of those who advocate similar ideas in softer language. Western liberal media prefers not to hear this. Acknowledging it would require abandoning the lazy moral categories that dominate modern discourse: oppressor and oppressed, colonizer and colonized, white and non-white. Iranian protesters do not fit. They show that authoritarianism is not a Western invention imposed from outside, but something many societies are actively trying to escape. That is what terrifies Western liberal media. And that is why the Iranian people are being ignored. So the silence continues.

Senior legal affairs reporter Josh Gerstein was upset that amateur YouTuber Nick Shirley was doing his job by actually investigating a story that the #FakeNews would never investigate. Josh said, "At some point, the amateur effort to knock on doors of home daycares intersects with robust stand-your-ground laws."
Gerstein was implying that the Somali fraudsters would somehow be justified in shooting journalists who are asking questions and doing an investigation. This line of thinking only makes sense to leftists for whom violence is an always available tool and threat.

One of the latest #FakeNews stories Democrats are pushing (there are many as they are busy faking Trump/Epstein pictures and letters) is that Bari Weiss spiked a 60 Minutes report on the Trump Administration deporting illegals to an El Salvador prison because she is kissing up to the Trump Administration. But she only delayed it because she recognized how imbalanced it was (which was par for the course before she showed up).
She recognized that the 'journalists' never bothered to get the Trump Administration's side of the story (kind of basic). She insists that that do that. House Democrats release a picture allegedly from the 'Epstein Files' where they attempt to claim that Trump is posing with a bunch of Epstein victims. The faces of the women are ominously redacted to sell this lie. Many Democrats, including Gov. Newsome push this lie. Many many #FakeNews outlets enable their lies as usual. One example: Ana Cabrera, the 'legal reporter' at the #FakeNews @MSNOWNews said the redaction meant they "were minors or survivors of Jeffery Epstein."
In reality, they were all adult Hawaiian Tropic models at a Mar a Lago event. Trump took this public photo with them. Nothing to do with Epstein. One model was asked about it: "I was 22 years old and remember him being very nice. He was very gentlemanly."
You literally cannot hate the Democrats and the #FakeNews enough. How can either of them have any credibility left after being caught in SO MANY LIES? All they do is lie. They have lit their reputations on fire in failed attempt after failed attempt to "get Trump!"

But the fact is that the main predictions have been warming temperatures and more frequent and stronger storms but often the opposite of those have been happening. He starts out by saying that brown people have somehow beaten white people and that white people (who didn't know they were being played apparently) make a mistake by allowing brown people into their countries. He then went on to shit on American culture and white people listing all the ways "his people" were superior.

You can't make this up. Never could anyone make such statements against any other group of people but its fine because his racism and supremacy is directed against white people. He will keep his jobs at the NY Times and Daily Beast. No one will say a thing...

The panels about the black soldiers were never removed. They were just in the display rotation as they have always been. "The ABMC told Newsweek in a statement that the visitors' center at Margraten had 15 magnetic panels "designed to be removed and rotated throughout the life of the exhibit to highlight as many individual stories as possible."
"In fact, the proportion of panels featuring black soldiers to white soldiers is vastly higher than that featuring white soldiers. Almost 10,000 soldiers are honored at the cemetery, of whom 174 are black. Four out of 15 of the panels feature black soldiers."
