His EPA administrator, Lee Zeldin, and his energy officials are rolling back the left’s climate agenda. Trump defunded public broadcasting and kneecapped the Department of Education (for now). The administration has taken important steps to protect female sports and to keep minors from being subjected to “gender-affirming care.” With brute-force threats, he’s pushed universities into agreements to adopt reforms and probably upended forever the assumption that billions of federal dollars would flow to top universities as a matter of course."

1) He abandoned his unit (which he led) by retiring shortly after finding out his unit was going to be deployed to Iraq. Walz's Division Commander, Command Sergeant Major Doug Julin confirmed that Walz knew about the Iraq deployment months before he retired. And Walz went around him (2 levels up) to expedite. "He went around me and above and beyond me, and basically went to get somebody to back him to get him out of there." Many of the members in his unit confirm that he quit on them when he found out they were being deployed to Iraq.
2) He lied about his rank. He bragged for years that he was the highest-ranking enlisted man to ever serve in Congress. His bios and the Harris campaign refer to him as Command Sergeant Major but he was only conditionally promoted to that rank if he completed 2 more years. But since he did not so the military still lists his rank as master sergeant. The Harris campaign has had to revise his bio on this.
3) He claimed that he was "in war" when his deployments were to non-combat nations. "We can make sure those weapons of war, that I carried in war, are only carried in war." But his deployment was in Italy and nowhere near an actual war.
4) He wrote an endorsement for a book 'Winning Your Election the Wellstone Way' which says Walz "served in Afghanistan." You don't endorse a book that talks about you without knowing what it says about you. Walz did not serve in Afghanistan.
5) Walz made this statement in 2007 on CSPAN: "I spent 24 years in the National Guard, some of that full-time; I was an artilleryman. I deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. My battalion provided base security throughout the European theater from Turkey to England in the early stages of the war in Afghanistan. And that same battalion is now in Iraq at this time." Almost anyone hearing this wording would get the impression that he served in both Iraq and Afghanistan.
