The Democrats setup a climate reporting bureaucracy that would have been an absolute disaster for businesses and the economy to comply with. Its the kind of regulation (like the insane $600 1099 that Trump also killed) so burdensome and so destructive that only Democrats could conceive of and try to force on the American people!

They will no longer have to pay for measuring, reporting, certifying and complying with federal GHG vehicle emission standards. EPA had attached endangerment tailpipe emission standards to impossible-to-meet 50.4 mpg fuel economy requirements – effectively banning internal combustion engines and forcing people to buy electric models. Now, motorists can buy the cars and light trucks they choose."

Trump repeals the endangerment clause for CO2. A very important move. Obama greatly overreached by declaring CO2 to be a pollutant. Its absolutely not pollution in any sense of the word. The fairly discredited "climate change" narrative is that CO2 would eventually cause massive sea level rise and extreme weather which would be more deadly and costly than normal. In 50 years of pushing this theory, these predictions have not ever panned out. So Trump was not going to allow this junk science to cost the American people enormous sums of money and force them into vehicles they don't want.
“EPA now finds that even if the U.S. were to eliminate all GHG emissions from all vehicles, there would be no material impact on global climate indicators through 2100,” the EPA announced Thursday. “Therefore, maintaining GHG emission standards is not necessary for EPA to fulfill its core mission of protecting human health and the environment, but regardless, is not within the authority Congress entrusted to EPA. Today’s action is only related to GHG emissions and does not affect regulations that combat criteria pollutants and air toxics.”

This is another long standing evil that took the Trump Administration to eradicate. 8a requires a percentage of federal contracts to go to "minority- and women-owned businesses" regardless of who would be best for the job and taxpayer. Much worse, 8a created layers of fraud and corruption. In many cases, the contracts went to the companies they would have normally but only after they appeared to go through a minority owned business which takes a cut but adds nothing of value except to comply with 8a.

Hegseth continued: “In many, many instances, these socially disadvantaged businesses don’t even do work. They take a 10%, 20%, sometimes 50% fee off the top, then pass the contract off to a giant consulting firm, commonly known as Beltway Bandits. For decades, this program, 8(a), has been a breeding ground for fraud.”

And the bureaucrats don’t have to go through the hassle of a competitive bidding process — they can just send the money immediately out the door."
